Bioregioning Tayside is an ambitious programme of action aimed at reconnecting people to the ecological systems we live in. As well as practical projects, an Imaginarium has been created – “imagination grounded in place—a fusion of creativity, ecology, and community visioning for a specific landscape.” I was delighted to have a poem commissioned by the project’s Makar, Jim Mackintosh. You can read the poem and accompanying short essay, ‘How to pick an apple’ here. Browse the Imaginarium for beautiful, thought-provoking poetry by John Glenday, James Roberston, Jennie Turnbull, Linda Cracknell and Morag Anderson.
